How did you get started in Ice Sculpting?
I made a snowman for one of my sons back in 2013 that went viral and i was asked by a company if i wanted to try ice sculpting, and that was Hamilton Ice Sculptors

How many years have you been sculpting ice?
10

What is your most memorable sculpture? And any short story why it was your most memorable.
Probably a giant snow sculpture of a tree man (ent) at the ice kingdom in winter wonderland, and to me it was memorable because it was the third time id tried sculpting snow but it was around 14 foot tall.

Have you received any notable awards or recognition in your carving career
I haven't done that many comps but i got 2nd in Finland in late 2020 for sand carving and peoples choice in Canada in early 2020 in an ice sculpting duo team.

Most memorable location you've carved at?
Definitely Canada, just for its sheer beauty.

Is there a particular type of subject or theme that you like to carve?
I prefer to carve figures and animals, and anything fantasy based.

What do you enjoy most about participating in ice sculpting competitions?
As I said I haven't done that many, but the little i have been lucky enough to be a part of id have to say; meeting other sculptors and learning from them.

What advice would you give to someone new to ice sculpting?
I would say; take your time, and start with a strong silhouette...

...and wear a hat
