How did you get started in Ice Sculpting?
My journey began in the vibrant town of Paete, Laguna, Philippines, where I discovered my passion for woodworking. I was captivated by the rich tradition and artistry of the craft! However, that was just the beginning. My adventure took a thrilling turn when I transitioned to the hotel industry, where I was able to embrace my creativity as a culinary artist and ice sculptor.

How many years have you been sculpting ice?
25 years

What is your most memorable sculpture? And any short story why it was your most memorable.
"Love in Motion," located in Fairbanks, Alaska, and won the world championship in 2024. The sculpture was inspired by a Cirque du Soleil drapery dancer. As you view the sculpture, the design gives the illusion of rotation, making it appear as if it is moving as you walk around it.

The beauty of accomplishing what seems impossible in extreme weather conditions, while learning and sharing knowledge with the ice community.
